What You Will Get
Breathtaking natural scenery
This brilliant two-day tour takes visitors on a journey into untouched natural beauty not far from Port Elizabeth. Leaving from Port Elizabeth the first stop is Jeffreys Bay Main Beach. Here visitors have the opportunity to experience the magnificent waves first hand. Options are available of either surfing or taking a surfing lesson. Alternatively, you can also remain on dry land and appreciate the aesthetic beauty of the coastline. Next stop is the Paul Sauer Bridge or better known as Storms River Bridge. A stop for refreshments is made at the well-known garage and restaurant complex at the bridge, a landmark for regular travelers between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. From here visitors can enjoy unobstructed views of the bridge and also walk over the bridge to get a better perspective on this amazing piece of structural engineering. Later on, another stop at the Storms River Suspension Bridge inside the Tsitsikamma National Park is also on the list. The views of the Indian Ocean from there is refreshing for soul and spirit.
Some adrenaline injections close to Port Elizabeth
At Tsitsikamma Falls Adventure you will fly like a bird over the Kruis River with zip lines. If this wasn’t enough of a rush, then shake your feathers for tomorrow the Bloukrans bridge is on the to-do list and visitors can either watch some bravehearts throw themselves off the bridge or take up the bungy challenge themselves and take the jump.
Getting close to the wildlife
The area on this side of Port Elizabeth is densely populated by the animal kingdom. Meet, greet and feed the giants of the forest, the heroes in Dalene Matthee’s bestsellers, at the Knysna Elephant Park. At Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary at the Craggs visitors have the opportunity to walk with the monkeys. Under the forest canopy live groups of free-range monkeys. This is one of a few such chances in the world to walk between wild monkeys and is also informative about the work that the sanctuary does.
